Career Personality and Aptitude

What is Career Personality & Aptitude testing?

Whether looking to enter the workforce for the first time or considering a career change, the breadth of options can be overwhelming.

Career aptitude involves a person’s natural ability or inclination towards performing certain work tasks. Career personality involves individual characteristics, ways of thinking and behaving, unique worldviews and preferences that impact the type of career that an individual would most enjoy. Generally, the best-fitting careers for an individual’s personality and aptitude match their interests, values, and skillset.

In the United States, the average person spends 8 hours daily and 40 total hours weekly at work. This means that most people spend one-third of their lifetime working! With so many hours invested in work, a good-fitting career where one can thrive and find enjoyment is important.

Formal Career Personality and Aptitude testing can provide deeper insight the self, personality features, unique interests, skillsets, and values in order to assist in career decisions. In addition to information about one’s personality and skillsets, Career Personality and Aptitude testing offers suggestions for a variety of careers that are likely to be a good fit and even enjoyable. The testing will also provide some information about each of those career suggestions and can assist in identifying resources in order to make those career goals a reality.
