Pricing & Insurance

Pricing varies by assessment or service provided. The assessment clinical intake session fee is applied as a credit towards the total cost of the assessment, if client proceeds with full assessment procedure. All feedback sessions are included in the total cost of the assessment.

East Beach Psychological Services, P.C. operates as an “out-of-network” provider for insurance.

Clients (typically outside of Medicare, Medicaid, or TRICARE plans) are generally are able to file for reimbursement from their insurance company for services provided out-of-network, depending on the service offered. More information on these services and their prices are available to the right.

At this time, we do not treat Medicare patients.

East Beach Psychological Services, P.C. has chosen to operate “out-of-network” with insurance companies due to the number of problems and limitations posed by insurance companies which limit the access, depth, and quality of mental health services.

  • Insurance companies limit the type, length, number, and frequency of therapy sessions

  • Insurance companies limit the types and number of assessments that can be given for psychological assessment, often failing to cover tests necessary for accurate and thorough diagnosis

  • Insurance companies often limit or exclude coverage for psychological testing services for certain referral questions that matter to clients

  • Clinicians must spend significant amounts of time managing insurance company billing and claims, which limits availability for client sessions and drives up the cost of assessment and therapy services for clients

  • Less privacy as insurance companies require detailed information on the mental health services provided

Clients generally are able to file for reimbursement for services provided out-of-network.

Benefits of the Out-of-Network model:

  • More availability and flexibility in scheduling and treatment approaches

  • Added privacy; no need to share with the insurance and billing companies about one’s private mental health concerns

  • More efficient access to specialty services, such as Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and psychological assessment for Autism, which may not be widely available within the insurance network

  • Clinicians base testing services on what the client needs, rather than on what insurance companies choose to cover

  • Clients can usually obtain reimbursement for portions of the services provided “out-of'-network”
